The 2013 Major League Baseball season gets underway tomorrow night, and with it the question becomes who will reign supreme and claim the World Series? 30 teams will once again compete for the prize with ESPN, ESPN2, TBS, MLB Network, and FOX serving as your national TV providers for the season.
While I will go ahead and post the TV matches along with the regional network, I won't be posting the announcers for local games. Awful Announcing has compiled a list of all the possible announcers for each teams TV and radio broadcast. Why mess with perfection. If you wish to learn the possible announcers for each network, please visit the MLB TV Primer: Local Announcers provided by our friends at Awful Announcing.
I will post the television providers in the followiong format.
1) National Broadcast (ESPN, ESPN2, TBS, WGN America, FOX, MLB Network)- MLB Network alternate games will appear in yellow
2) Home Team Station Broadcast
3) Road Team Station Broadcast
4) National Radio Broadcast
5) National Spanish Broadcast
6) National Spanish Radio Broadcast
As broadcasters for the national games are announced, I will add them here. The times listed here are the times that the television coverage will start at, not including pre-game shows. Until the national broadcasters are announced, enjoy seeing the dates, times, networks, and teams that will be available.

2013 March Madness: WBI Semifinal Schedule
The WBI semifinals are upon us. In the West region the 6 and 8 seeds have outwiited, oulasted, and outplayed their supposed superior opponents. Now that the Cinderella story is over, will it be the Southland Conference's McNeese State Cowboys, who have played every game on the road, claiming the region championship, or will the South Dakota Coyotes of the Summit League have the last laugh?
On the other side of the bracket 1 and 2 have reigned supremere, albeit in different fashions. Detroit snuck out of round 1 with a 1 point win before coasting in round 2. Penn has won both games by an average of 3.5 points. Will homecourt advantage prove to be the difference when the Horizon League and Ivy League collide?
The WBI Semifinals begin on Wednesday, and here at Eye on Sky and Air Sports we're happy to provide you all the streaming information. Enjoy.

March Madness 2013: CiT Tournament 2nd Round Schedule w/ Streaming info
The 2nd round CiT matchups have been announced. With most of the favorites having it advanced, it appears the remainder of the CiT games won't be televised, at least not until the national championship. If I learn something different, then I'll update it, but don't expect many changes to occur.
We here at Eye on Sky and Air Sports are one of the few sites that actually includes all the CiT games. What else would you expect from a site working to be the premier broadcast info site for the Atomic Reach March Madness campaign. All games will be shown online for free at watchcollegeinsider.com. The home teams radio team is what is used to broadcast the game unless a TV broadcast occurs. The local announcers calling the action are listed below.

March Madness 2013: CBI 2nd Round TV Schedule
The first round is completed, and the second round isn't nearly upon us. Nevertheless the second round schedule has already been announced. As with past years, every CBI Quarterfinal will take place on the same day- Monday, March 25. Only 2 of the 4 games will be televised. What is different though is they aren't switching to one region that hasn't been televised at all- Richmond at Wright State. Instead Houston and Wyoming pick up their second TV broadcasts.
Monday, March 25
7 PM- Houston at George Mason (AXS TV) Rich Cellini, Darrin Horn
7 PM- Santa Clara at Purdue (Big Ten Digital Network) Larry Clisby, Ralph Taylor

The real winners & losers of the new MWC/ ESPN TV deal
Most sports fans new that CBS Sports sold a secondary deal of conference games back to the MWC last year and said they could sale those games to any provider they chose too. Most people knew that deal included all the Boise State home games in order to keep Boise in the conference. Most people even suspected that ESPN was the lead contender for the new conference package. Today it all came to fruition.
"The Mountain West Conference announced it has reached agreement with ESPN to be a national television rights holder for Conference-controlled football and men's basketball games. The agreement, which begins with the 2013-14 season, was announced by Burke Magnus, ESPN senior vice president, college sports and Craig Thompson, MW Commissioner. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed."
So who are the winners and losers of this new deal? I'm sure we all have our opinions.
WINNERS:
1) Boise State
As part of the new deal, every Boise State home football game will be shown on the ESPN Networks through 2019. Let's be honest. Everyone has been keeping track of Boise, love them or hate them, since their victory over Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl. Boise was one of the original BCS busters, and they've had great success and are usually one of the most entertaining teams to watch in the nation offensively. To have a minimum of 6 games a year on ESPN, the network that built Boise State up as the king of the mid-tier FBS schools, is huge for the Broncos.
2) San Diego State
The new deal lets ESPN and CBS Sports Network rotate with the priority game every week. San Diego State has been the uprising danger since BYU, Utah, and TCU left. The deal is huge for the Aztecs in basketball more so than football. Since the deal doesn't call for a minimum number of appearances and a maximum number of appearances for any team, San Diego State could all of the sudden see 5 or 6 basketball games on ESPN instead of ROOT Sports or Time Warner Cable. I'd be so bold as to predict that a minimum of 2 San Diego State football games will make ESPN each year as well.
3) BYU
Say what? BYU isn't in the MWC. How would they come out as one of the winners here? Last time I checked, BYU is scheduled to play Boise State, Utah State, Nevada, and UNLV in upcoming seasons. BYU has a contract with ESPN. Would it be farfetched to think that ESPN uses some of their priority picks to get BYU road MWC games? Frankly the only team scheduled to play BYU from the MWC that this isn't a big winner for is UNLV. UNLV is consistently horrendous in football. Still, an additional 2 to 3 road games for BYU being on the ESPN Networks is a big win for BYU. It could easily make it where BYU has a minimum of 10 appearances on ESPN Networks a year.
LOSERS:
1) Hawaii
The Warriors don't get any money from the new deal. In fact all this does is make it where they may have to spend more money to cover road games for Oceanic each year. ESPN has had a history of picking up late night Hawaii games for ESPN2 & ESPNU. While the additional exposure on ESPN is good for the Warriors, having to spend extra money to cover road games could easily hurt Oceanic Time Warner even if it doesn't hurt the University themselves.
2) Wyoming
Yes, I'm going to put Wyoming on this list. The new contract doesn't give any team a minimum or maximum number of appearances on any network. Wyoming was the lone team to not have some sort of local TV carrier last year. While this may put 1 or 2 Wyoming games on national TV, it doesn't help them be resolved in terms of their schools carriage.
3) San Jose State
The Spartans are an upcoming young team, but in the space of 1 years time they'll have lost their coach, a minimum number of appearances on ESPN, and frankly could very well be at the back of the pack with UNLV in terms of football strength. No guaranteed appearances doesn't help a team that didn't have any carrier show their home games last year outside of ESPN Networks.
Could I be wrong about this? Of course I could. However this is just an opinion, and I invite all of you to share your thoughts as well.

March Madness 2013: NIT Tournament Round 2 TV Schedule
It's a quick turnaround for a few teams in the NIT. In case you don't follow the NIT often, the NIT 2nd Round is spread out over 5 days. In order to fit all the games on TV without clashing with their other contracts, ESPN has decided to place 1 game on Thursday, 2 games on Friday, 1 game on Saturday, 1 game on Sunday, and 3 games next Monday. While the games will be streamed live on Watch ESPN, ESPN3 only shows taped replays after the 1st round.
Thursday, March 21
7 PM- Denver at Maryland (ESPNU) Mike Patrick, LaPhonso Ellis
Friday, March 22
8 PM- Arizona State at Baylor (ESPN2) Dave Lamont, Stephen Howard
9 PM- Stony Brook at Iowa (ESPNU) Mike Couzens, Paul Biancardi
Saturday, March 23
Noon- Stanford at Alabama (ESPN) Rich Hollenberg, Miles Simon
Sunday, March 24
11 AM- St. John's at Virginia (ESPN) Mike Crispino, Dereck Whittenberg
Monday, March 25
7 PM- Robert Morris at Providence (ESPNEWS) TBD, Tim Welsh
9 PM- Mercer at BYU (ESPNEWS) Dave Pasch, Bill Walton
10 PM- Louisiana Tech at Southern Miss (ESPNU) Roy Philpott, Joe Dean Jr.
The most surprising announcing assignment to me is Bill Walsh is leaving the comfy confines of Pac-12 country and is headed to Utah. I could be wrong, but I think this may be the first time Bill Walsh has ever called a BYU game. It's only part of the Madness that Eye on Sky and Air Sports deals with for trying to keep up a site providing broadcaster information during March Madness. Yet it's something I don't plan on stopping. All I want to do is provide the best general information site you can use, and it's one of the reasons I feel Atomic Reach has asked me to be part of their March Madness campaign.

March Madness 2013: Women's NCAA Tournament Rounds 1 & 2 TV information
The last of our tourneys to be published is the Women's NCAA Tournament. This isn't because I hate the women's NCAA Tourney. On the contrary. It is being published last solely because it is the last of the tourneys to start. When you have a limited amount of time to write up articles and edit preexisitng articles to update match-ups, then you have to focus on doing the tournaments that start the soonest first. With the women's NCAA Tourney not starting until Saturday, the major women's tournament ends up being done last.
All games Saturday- Monday will air on ESPN2. ESPN2 will air a mixture of games for most of the nation. However if you want to watch 1 game and not be rotated from site-to-site, all the games will be available on ESPN3. ESPN will also do some regional blocking for games. For example the state of Texas is guaranteed to see the Baylor, Texas Tech, and Texas A&M games on ESPN2. Those games will be blacked out on ESPN3 for the state of Texas.
On Tuesday the games could appear on ESPN2, ESPNU, or ESPNEWS. As ESPN confirms which game will air on which network, I will post it below.
Now sit back and enjoy learning what time and which announcers you can expect for your favorite women's squad. It's all part of staying on top of the Madness with Eye on Sky and Air Sports, an Atomic Reach March Madness community site.

Be sure to visit Fang's Bites for great TV viewing picks and sports information. Also be sure to visit Awful Announcing for some of the best, and worst, sports stories and blunders going on today. You can catch the college football guide found here at both locations and you can catch the weekend basketball announcing assignments at Fang's Bites.
