Around the Dial: Fox Early Season Football Broadcast Assignments by Rudy Martzke

 

The NFL returns next Thursday, August 1 with the Hall of Fame Game. Scott Graham and James Lofton will call the Bears/Texans showdown for Westwood One.

It's back to basics for Fox's Big Noon Saturday as Gus Johnson, Joel Klatt, & Jenny Taft will call Penn St/West Virginia Aug 31, Texas/Michigan Sept 7, & Alabama/Wisconsin Sept 14.

Fox Sports reunites Jason Benetti, Brock Huard, and Allison Williams for another season of fun. The trio will kickoff Thurs, Aug 29 w/ North Carolina/Minnesota followed by UTEP/Nebraska Aug 31, Baylor/Utah Sept 7, & Oregon/Oregon State Sept 14.

The newly minted team of Tim Brando, Devin Gardner, and Josh Sims kickoff Fox's CFB coverage in two aspects. The trio will call Montana St/New Mexico on Week 0. 

Brando, Gardner, and Sims will also unveil the Friday night Fox package with Western Michigan and my alma mater- Wisconsin Aug. 30 on FS1. 

The fun for Tim, Devin, and Josh continues with Texas Tech/Washington State Sept. 7 before the trio returns to call the FNF Fox Network debut between Arizona/Kansas State Sept. 13.

In a season of new beginnings Fox Sports will have Eric Collins and Spencer Tillman call North Dakota/Iowa State Aug 31, South Dakota/Wisconsin Sept 7, and Troy/Iowa Sept 14.

Newly Promoted Connor Onion and Mark Helfrich kickoff their season with UConn/Maryland Aug 31, Duke/Northwestern Sept 6, and UCF/TCU Sept 14.

Fox Sports fourth new CFB broadcast team in 2024 will comprise of Alex Faust and Robert Smith. The duo will call UNLV/Houston Aug 31, Kansas/Illinois Sept 7, and Air Force/Baylor Sept 14.

Fox Sports Petros Papadakis, the analyst who knows all the high school backgrounds, also returns for 2024. He'll be teamed with multiple pxp men this season beginning with Wyoming/Arizona State Aug 31 and North Texas/Texas Tech Sept 14.

When conflicts don't exist Dan Hellie will call Fox CFB once again in 2024. His first call will be with Petros Papadakis Sept 14 between North Texas/Texas Tech.

Fox Sports will have Kevin Burkhardt, Tom Brady, Erin Andrews, and Tom Rinaldi on the call of Cowboys/Browns Sept 8. 

Fox Sports will have the voice of MLB Joe Davis, Greg Olsen, and Pam Oliver on the call of Steelers/Falcons Sept 8. 

Fox Sports will have ever rising star Adam Amin, Mark Sanchez, and Kristina Pink on the call of Titans/Bears Sept 8. 

Fox Sports will have the top NHL broadcaster Kenny Albert, Jonathan Vilma, and Megan Olivi on the call of Vikings/Giants Sept 8.

Fox Sports will have multi-sport star Kevin Kugler, Daryl "Moose" Johnston, and Laura Okmin on the call of Commanders/Bucs Sept 8. 

Fox Sports will have the best interviewer in the business Chris Myers, mark "Stink" Schlereth, and Jen Hale on the call of Panthers/Saints Sept 8.
