2013 College Football Division 1 Week 1 TV, National Radio, & Free Streaming Schedule

College football is upon us. Games start on Thursday, and most of the announcing assignments have been made. Do you know a game that is missing from the list, live or tape delayed? If so, feel free to post it in the comments, and I will update it ASAP.

Announcing assignments are subject to change. If an announcing assignment is changed, I will update the info as soon as I have it and have the ability to do so. As you can see, there is 1 game without the announcing assignments currently posted. It will be posted as soon as the schools game notes come out with them, or as soon as I'm able to get into with the correct media personnel.

If Nevada Sports Network carries a game, I will also add it to the list. As far as I'm aware though, these are all the national radio broadcasts scheduled for this week.

This year I have added the free streaming games. Most of these are done with TV quality in mind. They will utilize a specific conference assigned announce team or the home teams radio feed. If you know of a game being streamed that isn't listed, please check and make sure it is on a free view service. Sorry, but I don't promote pay-to-view online links. You can usually get them through the schools website.

NFL Hall of Fame Game Tonight

Ok, so it's actualy on right now. You might be wondering why I didn't post this information sooner. Well, I just got home, and Dial Global just posted it on their site. In a change from years past, Compass Media will not be airing Cowboys games at the same time as Dial Global. Perhaps this is because Dial Global owns the advertising rights for Compass, so the two can co-produce it. I really don't know. I just know all Cowboys games that are being aired on Dial Global have been removed from the Compass Media schedule. that includes tonight's Hall of Fame game, Anyway, here's tonight's announcers for the Hall of Fame Game.

NFL 2013 Week 1 National Radio Broadcast Schedule Finalized- Titans/ Steelers to air on "ESPN NFL Sunday"

The news was announced this morning during Mike & Mike, and advertisements are now playing across ESPN Radio with the details. ESPN Radio has announced their first NFL Broadcast will be the Tennessee Titans at the Pittsburgh Steelers. The live games on ESPN Radio will also be branded as ESPN NFL Sunday.

Since the ESPN Radio deal is with the Steelers, Jets, Giants, Patriots, and Dolphins, and since it is the home team that has the national radio rights, it could have only been the Titans/ Steelers or the Bucs/ Jets. The Dolphins, Patriots, and Giants all open with road games.

With this news, the Week 1 NFL National Radio schedule is complete. Announcing assignments will be posted when the season gets closer. As a quick reminder, NFL games aren't supposed to be streamed online, with the exception of the Oakland Raiders, outside of the NFL Audio Package. As a result, you can only catch these games on an affiliate carrying them.

Dial Global to stream every College Football Dial Global broadcast in 2013

Last year select games were streamed online by Dial Global. The majority of them were not able to be. This year a new Dial Global contract allows them to stream every NCAA College Football broadcast online as well as across their Dial Global affiliates. Dial Global announces first 5 weeks of NFL Regular Season broadcasts

Dial Global usually is the last group to announce their NFL Regular Season schedule, but this year we still have ESPN Radio to come. Earlier today Dial Global announced their broadcast schedule for the first 5 weeks of the NFL regular season. 

As the main national broadcast home of the NFL, Dial Global doesn't have to rely on contracts with teams to secure Sunday afternoon broadcast rights. Instead they can broadcast any game, even if Sports USA or Compass Media has already posted it on their schedule of games. This list doesn't include the previously announced Thursday night, Sunday night, Monday night, or Thanksgiving Day games.

College World Series TV & Radio Announcers & Schedule announced- Every game on ESPN or ESPN2 & Dial Global

The last collegiate title of the 2012-13 season is about to be crowned. The final 8 teams left in the College World Series will begin competing this Saturday on the networks of ESPN and on Dial Global Sports. ESPN will use a rotating group of Karl Ravech, Mike Patrick, and Dave O'Brien on play-by-play duties, Kyle Peterson and Orel Hershisher doing the analysis, and Kaylee Hartung and Jessica Mendoza will act as field reporters.

Over on Dial Global they will use a 2-man booth for all broadcasts. Both Kevin Kugler and John Bishop return to the roles they are very familiar with for Dial Global. As was the case last year, all games can be listened to online through the Dial Global Player.

34th Consecutive Year of Event Coverage Includes Use of K Zone & X Mo, “Omaha to the Bigs” Vignettes and Sports Science Features

ESPN’s record coverage of the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship – all possible 153 games scheduled across ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPN3 – will culminate with the entire College World Series Presented by Capital One on ESPN or ESPN2 for the 11th straight year. It will mark ESPN’s 34th straight year at the event. Action will begin Saturday, June 15, and conclude with prime-time telecasts of the best-of-three Finals on Monday, June 24, through Wednesday, June 26.

NCAA College World Series Presented by Capital One

This year’s College World Series includes two programs that won consecutive national championships (LSU and Oregon State); a first-time participant (Indiana); and five teams seeking their first title after multiple appearances (Louisville, Mississippi State, North Carolina, NC State and UCLA). Highlights of first-round matchups:

LSU vs. UCLA

• LSU, making its 16th appearance, is tied with Texas for the second most championships by any school with six (USC leads with 12). The Tigers have won all six of its titles since 1991, more than any program in that span (1991, 1993, 1996, 1997, 2000 and 2009).
• UCLA will make its second straight trip and third in four years. The Bruins, the runner-up to South Carolina in the 2010 event, are looking for their first championship in five overall appearances.

Louisville vs. Indiana

• Louisville will play in their second College World Series and the first since 2007. This year the Cardinals became the first athletics program to advance to the College World Series, play in the men’s and women’s basketball Final Four, and win a college football BCS Bowl in the same academic season.
• Indiana will make their first trip to the College World Series and the first for a Big Ten Conference school since Michigan in 1984.

NC State vs. North Carolina

• NC State will make its second trip and first since 1968.
• North Carolina, seeking its first College World Series title, will play in the event for the sixth time in the last eight years and 10th overall.

Mississippi State vs. Oregon State

• Oregon State will return to the event for the first time since 2007 when the Beavers won a second consecutive title. It will mark the fourth trip in the last nine years and fifth overall.
• Mississippi State will play in its ninth College World Series and first since 2007.

Commentators

Former Stanford pitcher, and two-time College World Series participant, Kyle Peterson will rotate analyst responsibilities with Sunday Night Baseball analyst Orel Hershiser, who has called the event since 2007. Mike Patrick, Karl Ravech and Dave O’Brien will work play-by-play. Softball Olympic Gold (2004) and Silver (2008) Medalist Jessica Mendoza will report from the field along with Kaylee Hartung.

Telestrator, K Zone and X Mo

ESPN will introduce the ART telestrator to this year’s coverage. The tool will provide an analyst with the ability to spot-shadow players, utilize moving arrows, identify player names on-screen and more. For a third straight year, ESPN will use the Sports Emmy Award-winning K Zone technology. K Zone identifies the speed and location of a pitch in replays as well as tracks the path of the ball from the pitcher’s hand through the strike zone and numerically sequences pitches thrown.

Telecasts will also utilize the X Mo replay system that films more frames per second of action than previous slow- motion capabilities. The technology eliminates motion blur and provides the viewer with clearer images, such as ball rotation, seams on the ball, a slide at the plate and more.

“Omaha to the Bigs”

The “Omaha to Bigs” vignettes will return and include a look at New York Mets pitcher Matt Harvey.

Digital and Social Media

In addition to traditional coverage, ESPN.com and other digital platforms will provide unique, original content. In addition, ESPN will post the best social photos around the College World Series sent in by fans and athletes to ESPNU.com/CWSphotos. For the fifth consecutive year, ESPN will use social networking sites Facebook (ESPNU) and Twitter (@ESPNU) to provide fans with updates and behind-the-scenes insight into the tournament.

Sports Science

Telecasts will include several Sports Science segments, including host John Brenkus exploring if the ball with a larger seam size used in college baseball is a cause in the reduction of scoring and a look at how TD Ameritrade Park has a lower rate of home runs and runs scored compared to Rosenblatt Stadium, which hosted the College World Series from 1950-2010.

Dial Global outlines 2013 NFL coverage

Dial Global may not have all their NFL games announced, outside of the primetime games and Thanksgiving Day, but that won't stop them from releasing a press release talking about the upcoming NFL season. NFL Schedule Released! All Primetime Games Again on Dial Global Sports!

Dial Global Sports is once again your home for EVERY primetime NFL game during the 2013-14 season, including complete coverage of every playoff game and Super Bowl XLVIII at MetLife Stadium.

It all begins with the annual Kickoff Game featuring the Super Bowl XLVII champion Baltimore Ravens. This year, the Ravens head to Denver to face Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos on September 5th.

Week 1′s primetime action continues with Sunday Night Football, as the Dallas Cowboys host the New York Giants in an NFC East matchup. The following night will see the division’s other two teams face off in the first game of the annual opening weekend Monday Night Football doubleheader. First, the Philadelphia Eagles and new coach Chip Kelly head to Washington to play the Redskins followed by the Houston Texans at the San Diego Chargers.

Dial Global will also broadcast the annual Thanksgiving Tripleheader, as well as a slate of Sunday afternoon games. That schedule will be released at a later date.

ESPN, ESPN2, & ESPNU to air every game of Women's College World Series beginning Thursday, Dial Global carries Championship Series

While the Regionals begin in baseball this weekend, the women's College World Series will steal most of the airtime and force most of the college baseball games to ESPN3 and possibly ESPNews. ESPN Airs Every WCWS Game from Oklahoma City Beginning Thursday

 

ESPN’s coverage of the NCAA Division I Softball Championship continues with every game in the Women’s College World Series (WCWS) from Oklahoma City airing across ESPN and ESPN2 for the 13^th consecutive year beginning Thursday, May 30 at noon ET. After over 136 hours of Regionals and Super Regionals action airing exclusively on ESPN networks, the field has been narrowed to: No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 2 Florida, No.4 Texas, No. 5 Arizona State, No. 7 Tennessee, No. 8 Michigan, No. 11 Washington and No. 14 Nebraska.

In addition to ESPN's coverage, Dial Global will carry all 3 Championship series games from the Women's College World Series. Dial Global's coverage will begin at 7:45 PM on June 3- 5 with Kevin Kugler returning as play-by-play and Leah Amico returning as the analyst. Dial Global Sports, in conjunction with the NCAA Radio Network, will once again broadcast the NCAA Women’s Softball Championship. The 32nd annual Women’s College World Series (WCWS) will be held at ASA Stadium in Oklahoma City for the 17th consecutive year and 24th time overall.

Similar to the Men’s College World Series, eight teams will compete during the preliminary rounds of the championship, and will play in a double elimination format, with the two bracket survivors meeting in a best-of-three series to determine the NCAA champion. Dial Global Sports will be on hand to broadcast the Championship Series. The games will be heard on Dial Global affiliate radio stations nationwide, right here on DialGlobalSports.com, on the TuneIn app for mobile devices and on SiriusXM Satellite Radio

Game One of the Championship Series will be played on Monday, June 3rd, 2013. Game Two will be played the following night, Tuesday, June 4th, 2013. Should a third game be necessary to determine a champion, it would be played on Wednesday night, June 5th, 2013. Airtime for all the broadcasts is 7:45 PM ET.

For the third consecutive year, the broadcast crew features Kevin Kugler as play-by-play announcer and Leah (O’Brien) Amico as the analyst. Leah (O’Brien) Amico was a three-time WCWS Champion while at Arizona, and three-time U.S. Olympic Softball Gold Medalist as well. She still holds the NCAA record for highest batting average in a single tournament, hitting .750 in 1994.
