2020 Week 8 Classic NBA and World Series Finals Radio Schedule

I mentioned last week that ESPN pulled a fast one on us and added more NBA and MLB Classic broadcasts. This week brings us what is currently the final World Series rebroadcast. Beginning next weekend, June 22, they will begin broadcasting Classic Playoff Broadcasts as both a LDS and a LCS are scheduled to air. Look forward to next week to see which classic they'll be.

2020 Week 7 Classic NBA and World Series Finals Radio Schedule

ESPN pulled a fast one of us everybody. It hasn't been posted on ESPN Media Zone, but thanks to TuneIn and SiriusXM we have learned that ESPN has authorized 4 more NBA Finals Classics and 3 more MLB World Series Classics (plus the one that was scheduled for this week) to air this month.

With this news also comes new dates for the sports. The NBA Finals Classics will now air on Saturday nights at 8 PM while the MLB World Series Classics move to the traditional Sunday Night Baseball slot at 8 PM.

ESPN Radio is airing Classic World Series broadcasts each Saturday at 8 PM EDT and Classic MJ NBA Finals broadcasts before The Last Dance each Sunday at 5 PM. Kevin Winter acts as the host for the World Series broadcasts while Marc Kestecher is the host for the NBA broadcasts.

TuneIn has secured the rights to rebroadcast some classic games for free on their website. These radio broadcasts are played in their original format, including the commercials, though the pregame show is typically omitted. There are a few games under clutch performances that are more historical in context that don't air the full game.

MLB Opening Day 2020 will feature "Special Streaming" games for every team


Tomorrow was supposed to be opening day 2020 for Major League Baseball. Instead the league finds itself like many others- waiting out COVID-19.

Rather than do nothing to celebrate what would be opening day, MLB has decided to air 30 different classic games on MLB.com and various MLB Interactive Accounts. Each game will be a classic win for the teams and will be a mixture of RSN and national broadcasts. Additionally select classic MLB broadcasts will be televised on MLB Network, FS1, ESPN2, and ESPN Deportes. 

Below is the schedule of games that will air and where you can find them. 

As a quick reminder, all the streaming games will be available on MLB.com in addition to the accounts mentioned. TV games can be found on their respective apps (MLB, Fox Sports, and ESPN).
