ESPN will have the voice of the cardiac ending Joe Tessitore, the host of The Bachelor Jesse Palmer, and Katie George on the call of the Irish clash between Florida State/Georgia Tech. Kickoff is scheduled Aug 24 at High Noon on ESPN. 

The longtime voice of Longhorn Network Lowell Galindo and his tag-team partner Fozzy Whittaker head to the ring for McNeese/Tarleton. Kickoff is scheduled Aug 24 at 3:30pm ET on ESPN2. 

ESPN will have the voice of women's lacrosse Jay Alter, the boy who doesn't want to grow up Rocky Boiman, and Morgan Uber on the call of North Alabama/SEMO. The FCS Kickoff takes place Aug 24 at 7pm on ESPN. 

The HBCU Spotlight Delight opens the season with the MEAC/SWAC Showdown between Florida A&M/Norfolk State. Tiffany Greene, Jay Walker, and Quint Kessenich will be on the call Aug 24 at 7:30pm ET on ABC.

The NFL returns next Thursday, August 1 with the Hall of Fame Game. Scott Graham and James Lofton will call the Bears/Texans showdown for Westwood One.

It's back to basics for Fox's Big Noon Saturday as Gus Johnson, Joel Klatt, & Jenny Taft will call Penn St/West Virginia Aug 31, Texas/Michigan Sept 7, & Alabama/Wisconsin Sept 14.

Fox Sports reunites Jason Benetti, Brock Huard, and Allison Williams for another season of fun. The trio will kickoff Thurs, Aug 29 w/ North Carolina/Minnesota followed by UTEP/Nebraska Aug 31, Baylor/Utah Sept 7, & Oregon/Oregon State Sept 14.

The newly minted team of Tim Brando, Devin Gardner, and Josh Sims kickoff Fox's CFB coverage in two aspects. The trio will call Montana St/New Mexico on Week 0. 

Brando, Gardner, and Sims will also unveil the Friday night Fox package with Western Michigan and my alma mater- Wisconsin Aug. 30 on FS1. 

The fun for Tim, Devin, and Josh continues with Texas Tech/Washington State Sept. 7 before the trio returns to call the FNF Fox Network debut between Arizona/Kansas State Sept. 13.

Fox Sports fourth new CFB broadcast team in 2024 will comprise of Alex Faust and Robert Smith. The duo will call UNLV/Houston Aug 31, Kansas/Illinois Sept 7, and Air Force/Baylor Sept 14.

Fox Sports Petros Papadakis, the analyst who knows all the high school backgrounds, also returns for 2024. He'll be teamed with multiple pxp men this season beginning with Wyoming/Arizona State Aug 31 and North Texas/Texas Tech Sept 14.

When conflicts don't exist Dan Hellie will call Fox CFB once again in 2024. His first call will be with Petros Papadakis Sept 14 between North Texas/Texas Tech.

Exclusive: Your 2014 National Radio College Football Broadcast teams

College football starts tomorrow with the FCS Kickoff, but the national radio broadcasts still have a week before they kick into high gear. Here on Eye on Sky and Air Sports we have your exclusive network broadcast teams for the 2014 College Football season.

Compass Media will utilize familiar voices this season as Gregg Daniels and Dale Hellestrae return as the main college football broadcast team. Drew Bontadelli will fill-in for play-by-play for select games and will be the studio host when Gregg Daniels calls the games.

Once again ESPN Radio will utilize Bill Rosinski, David Norrie, and Joe Schad to call most of the games. Select weeks will feature others voices, usually whenever they have a double header.

Sports USA Saturday's will feature John Ahlers and Aaron Goldsmith as the play-by-play men. Ahlers will call the games during August and September. Aaron Goldsmith will call the games in October,  November, and December. Gary Barnett will be your analyst for the Saturday games.

Sports USA will also air select Thursday games. On the Thursday night broadcasts they will use Dan Fouts and Eli Gold as the play-by-play broadcasters. Doug Plank will be the analyst for most Thursday broadcasts. 

Gino Toretta returns as the analyst, and when he isn't on assignment for Pac-12 Networks Roxy Bernstein returns as the sideline reporter and play-by-play announcer for select games. With Frank Fangie having moved to the Jacksonville Jaguars broadcasts, Touchdown Radio needed to find a new play-by-play broadcaster. Filling that spot will be SiriusXM College Sports Nation host Taylor Zarzour. 

Westwood One will utilize familiar broadcasters for the 2014 season, but most of them will be new to the college football broadcasts. Returning for the 2014 season is analyst Derek Rackley. John Sadak returns to provide play-by-play for select games. 

The rest of the team is new. Jason Benetti, most famous for being a play-by-play broadcaster who suffers from cerebral palsy, will be the regular play-by-play broadcaster. He replaces John Tautges. Serving as the second analyst for select games will be Chris Doering.

CBS Sports Network announces 2014 CFB broadcast teams

We have known for a while that Verne Lundquist, Gary Danielson, and Allie LaForce would call the SEC on CBS. Today CBS released the rest of their college football broadcast teams for the 2014 season. 

Every broadcast team will be new this season.  For those interested, here's last years broadcast teams.

Now I'm sure some of you are wanting to ask where are the sideline reporters. CBS has announced whom they are, but outside of the two returnees, they haven't announced which teams they will be with. 

Your sideline reporters will be: Cassie Gallo, Melanie Collins, Courtney Fallon, Susannah Collins, and Rashan Ali. Rasahan Ali did act as a sideline reporter for the Patriot League games last year and will likely reprise that role. As for the others, your guess is currently as good as mine.

2014 NFL on FOX broadcast teams finalized

Last week we reported on the 6 teams we had heard Fox would use during the 2014 NFL season. However our good friends at Awful Announcing were able to debut the sideline reporters as well as news on the seventh broadcast team today.

Rather than make you wait, here are the 6 broadcast teams Fox will use.

No, you are not seeing things. Fox will rotate analysts for the #6 broadcast team. Not only that, but there will be no solid #7 broadcast team.

Gus Johnson, Justin Kutcher, Sam Rosen, and UFC veteran Mike Goldberg have all been slated by Fox to act as play-by-play broadcasters for the #7 team this season. A rotation of analysts will also be used. Analysts mentioned for the #7 broadcast team include Charles Davis and Brendon Ayanbadjeo. Molly McGrath will travel with Johnson & Davis when they are given NFL assignments, but Peter Schrager will be the usual #7 sideline reporter.

ESPN Finalizes 2014 College Football Broadcast teams

We've known a few of ESPN's plans for CFB this season since they announced previously that Chris Fowler would move into the Saturday Night Football Booth and Brent Musburger would work on SEC Network. What we didn't know is whom the other broadcast teams would be and which teams would have sideline reporters. All that info was released yesterday. 

For the first time in recent memory, ESPN isn't assigning any of their ABC, ESPN, or ESPN2 broadcasters to a specific network. Instead any of the announce teams can appear in any timeslot on ABC, ESPN, or ESPN2, with a few exceptions. It should also be noted that Longhorn Networks broadcast team will be pulled from one of these teams.

Cara Capuano is moving from SECtv to ESPNU, and ESPNews will have 2 full-time regular broadcast teams. Another change is that ESPN has designated one team specifically for Tuesday or Wednesday night MACtion, and Carter Blackburn is not listed on the ESPN Roster this season. Instead Dave Flemming will become the voice of Friday Night Football.

Compared to last season, there is more than an 80% broadcast team change this year. Here's the assignments that have been announced.

2014 NFL on FOX Broadcast Team Info

Fox Sports announced today that Brady Quinn has joined the network and will serve as a game analyst for their coverage of college football and the NFL. They also announced that Quinn would work with Brando in the college broadcasts and Dick Stockton for NFL games. With this announcement, 6 of the 7 NFL on FOX broadcast teams are known for the 2014 season, though only 3 of the sideline reporters/analysts are currently known. Let's share what we do know.

Joe Buck and Troy Aikman reunite as the #1 broadcast team for FOX. They will be joined on the sidelines by Erin Andrews, who moves up from the #4 broadcast team.

Kevin Burkhardt and John Lynch move up from the #4 team to the #2 team. They will be joined by Pam Oliver. It is expected that Oliver will move up to the #1 team when Andrews is gone for the baseball League Championship Series and World Series broadcasts. It is also expected that she will act as the second sideline reporter for the Thanksgiving Day game, Wild Card Weekend, and the NFC Championship.

The familiar broadcast team of Kenny Albert, Daryl Johnston, and Tony Siragusa fall down one spot on the depth chart and will serve as the #3 broadcast team.

Like Albert, Thom Brennaman falls down one spot on the broadcast chart to the #4 broadcast team. He will work with new Fox employee David Diehl. It is expected that Brennaman will move up to the #1 broadcast team to replace Joe Buck during the League Championship Series and the World Series. 

The #5 broadcast team returns Chris Myers, and he will be joined by Ronde Barber, who moves up from the #6 broadcast team. 

Dick Stockton returns as the #6 broadcaster and is joined by Brady Quinn.

It should also be noted that Justin Kutcher has confirmed he will call NFL games this season. What is unknown is will he serve as the play-by-play man for the #7 team or will he act as a replacement for whomever moves up to Brennaman's spot when Brennaman fills in for Buck. We'll post full details when FOX realeses their announce teams later this month, along with the sideline reporters. 

 It should also be noted that we know Molly McGrath won't return as the #7 sideline reporter as she has been announced as the Fox College Football sideline reporter alongside Gus Johnson and Charles Davis.

Fox Sports announces main CFB broadcast teams for 2014

A couple of months ago we learned that Tim Brando would be calling games for FOX this fall. At that time that was all that was announced. Today Fox has announced their top 3 broadcast teams for this fall.



 

Returning for another year on the Fox game of the week is the duo of Gus Johnson and Charles Davis. This year the duo will be joined by Molly McGrath, whom will take over the sideline responsibilities.

 

For the Thursday night game of the week, Fox has announced that Justin Kutcher and Petros Paradakis are out and Tim Brando is in. Tim Brando will join returning team member Joel Klatt for Thursday night games.

 Craig Bolerjack and Ryan Nece will make up one broadcast team.

 

Fox has also announced that longtime HBCU broadcaster Joe Davis has joined their ranks. Joe Davis joins the #3 broadcast team where he will be teamed with Joey Harrington and newcomer Kris Budden. They will cover the Saturday night game.

Additional broadcast teams will be released in the future, but it seems quite clear that Fox is trying to seperate their NFL broadcasters and NCAA college broadcasters. Here's the details released by Fox.

As conference media days continue, FOX Sports unveils the studio personalities and game broadcast teams calling its exciting college football matchups from late August through early December. The announcement was made today by FOX Sports President and COO Eric Shanks and FOX Sports Executive Vice President, Production, John Entz.

Veteran broadcasterTim Brando(@TimBrando), a recent addition to FOX Sports’ college football and basketball coverage, calls Thursday night games on FOX Sports 1 with Klatt serving as analyst, and is also in the booth on Saturdays. Play continues the following evening with Colorado State vs. Colorado at Sports Authority Field at Mile High (9:00 PM ET on FOX Sports 1), followed by a full slate of Saturday games, highlighted by Fresno State at USC (7:30 PM ET) on the FOX broadcast network. Wholesale changes for NFL on CBS Broadcasts in 2014

If there is one thing that is certain in this world, it's that there will always be change. People just haven't expected much change from CBS, both in regular TV and in terms of sports, after they've dominated the market for nearly the last 10 years. This year will be quite different. After making massive schedule changes for most of their shows this fall, CBS will be making masive broadcast assignment changes. 

Two broadcast teams- Jim Nantz and Phil Simms as well as Ian Eagle and Dan Fouts, remain the same. Nantz and Simms will be joined though by Tracy Wolfson for everyone of their broadcasts this season. Eagle and Fouts meanwhile have been promoted to the #2 broadcast team. The rest of the changes occur mostly because Marv Albert has retired from football broadcasts, though that isn't the case in one instance. Greg Gumbel goes from the #2 broadcast team to the #3 broadcast team where he will be joined by Trent Green. Trent Green replaces Dan Dierdorf and joins the network from Westwood One. 

For the rest of the changes, it is as follows.

* Kevin Harlan replaces Marv Albert on the #4 broadcast team and will be paired with Rich Gannon.

*Spero Dedes moves up to the #5 broadcast team and will be paired with Solomon Wilcotts.

*Andrew Catalon moves up from CBS Sports Networks #1 college football broadcast team to the #6 broadcast booth. He will be in a 3-man booth with Steve Beuerlein and Steve Tasker.

*Jenny Dell and Evan Washburn will be used as sideline reporters throughout the season.

*Reserve broadcasters include Brian Anderson and Tom McCarthy doing play-by-play and Adam Archuleta and Chris Simms doing analysis.

The CBS Television Network will begin its 55th year of broadcasting the NFL with Jim Nantz, Phil Simms and Tracy Wolfson leading THE NFL ON CBS into the Network’s 2014 NFL season. Nantz, Simms and Wolfson will call the full slate of Thursday Night Football games on CBS and the NFL Network, along with selected Sunday games on CBS. Sean McManus, Chairman, CBS Sports, and Executive Producer, THE NFL ON CBS, announced today several changes to the 2014 announcer line-up along with the complete list of broadcast pairings. 

Ian Eagle and Dan Fouts have been named THE NFL ON CBS’s No. 2 announce team and will call the network’s top game on Sundays when Nantz and Simms do not call a game.

Wolfson, who served as the Network’s lead college football reporter for the past 10 years, will join the lead announce team of Nantz and Simms as THE NFL ON CBS lead reporter. In addition to Wolfson, THE NFL ON CBS will utilize additional sideline reporters during the season including Jenny Dell and Evan Washburn.

THE NFL ON CBS announce team is solidified even more this year as the deepest in sports television as Greg Gumbel will team with newcomer Trent Green. THE NFL ON CBS announce team also will feature several new pairings including Kevin Harlan with Rich Gannon, Spero Dedes with Solomon Wilcots, and Andrew Catalon forming a three-man booth with Steve Tasker and Steve Beuerlein. 

James Brown once again will anchor the CBS Television Network’s pre-game studio show, THE NFL TODAY, along with analysts Boomer Esiason, Bill Cowher, and newcomers Tony Gonzalez and Bart Scott, from the CBS Broadcast Center in New York City. Jason La Canfora will continue to serve as the “NFL Insider.”
