2013 MLB Week 4 TV and National Radio Schedule

Due to a family death, I can't promise that I will get all the MLB.TV Free Games of the Week listed this week. However I will do my best to make the information I do have available for all to use. I will have the FOX and TBS games listed, but unless the announcers get posted by 7 PM Central Time Tuesday, then they won't be available until Saturday night (after the FOX afternoon games). If I am unable to list them, please check out Awful Announcing or Sports Media Journal, and they will provide the information.

Awful Announcing has compiled a list of all the possible announcers for each teams TV and radio broadcast. Why mess with perfection. If you wish to learn the possible announcers for each network, please visit the MLB TV Primer: Local Announcers provided by our friends at Awful Announcing.

NCAA Volleyball Playoffs- Conference Quarterfinals

In a quiet and stealthy fashion the NCAA Men's Volleyball Playoffs are upon us. Unlike other major sports, the NCAA Men's Playoffs combine Division 1 & 2 together in 3 separate conferences.  Only 15 teams get ranked each week, and the majority of those teams come from the MPSF (Mountain Pacific Sports Federation).

I'll be honest when I say that the collegiate volleyball matches are some of the most exciting sports I've ever watched. In order to give others the opportunity to view and see what I'm talking about, here's this weekends playoff quarterfinals from the MPSF and MIVA.

The EIVA Playoffs don't begin until next week, with the semifinals and finals taking place at Penn State. I will publish another listing next week with the semifinals and championships. It should be noted that the games that don't have video or audio available do have live stats available. Please visit the MPSF or MIVA websites to get the stat links.

Friday, April 19
8 PM- MIVA Quarterfinal: Quincy at Loyola [IL]

Saturday, April 20
7 PM- MIVA Quarterfinal: Grand Canyon at Ohio State (Buckeye Vision)

7:30 PM- MIVA Quarterfinal: IPFW at Ball State (Ball State All Access will provide video and audio)

9 PM- MPSF Quarterfinal: Hawaii at BYU (BYUtv)

10 PM- MPSF Quarterfinal: Pepperdine at UCLA (Pac-12 Digital)- Audio available from MPSF Audio and UCLA on Stretch Internet

10 PM- MPSF Quarterfinal: Stanford at Long Beach State- Audio available from Stretch Internet

10 PM- MPSF Quarterfinal: UC Santa Barbara at UC Irvine

NCAA Frozen Four on Dial Global & ESPN Networks

Tonight and Saturday the Dial Global NCAA Radio Network and the networks of ESPN are pleased to present the Frozen Four semifinals and championship.

For Dial Global Sean Grande returns for his 24th consecutive season as the play-by-play man, former All-American Cap Raeder once again serves as the analyst, Adam Wodon returns for his third year as the rinkside reporter, and Jason Horowitz acts as your pre-game, intermission, and postgame studio host. The action begins in just one hours time. In addition to your local Dial Global affiliates, you can once again catch the action live on Dialglobalsports.com.

In terms of television coverage, ESPN2 will have both semifinals and ESPN will carry the championship. John Buccigross will act as the play-by-play man, and he'll be joined by longtime ESPN hockey analyst Barry Melrose. Returning for his 6th conscutive year as rinkside reporter for ESPN is Clay Matvick.

What's interesting about this Frozen Four is that 3 of the 4 teams are making their first ever appearance, and Yale's last appearance was way back in 1952.

Here is your full schedule breakdown.

Thursday, March 11
4 PM (Dial Global)/ 4:30 PM (ESPN2)- Yale vs. UMass- Lowell

7:45 PM (Dial Global)/ 8 PM (ESPN2)- Quinnipiac vs. St. Cloud State

Saturday, March 13
6:30 PM (Dial Global)/ 7 PM (ESPN)- Quinnipiac vs. Yale

2013 MLB Week 2 TV and National Radio schedule

Another week has arrived, and I am far behind when it comes to posting this weeks tv games. Still, they are up before Mondays games start, which should say something about how much I want to provide.

I've gone to a slightly different format this week. I have decided to italicize the TV announcers for the ESPN, TBS, MLB Network national broadcasts to make them easier to distinguish. National broadcasts that aren't using local announcers have their own line for their broadcast information. Local broadcasts have been placed on the same line and are distinguised solely by color.
As an added bonus, I have decided to post the MLB.TV free game of the day on the site. Since MLB.TV chooses the free game of the day only 3 days in advance, then you will have to check back regularly to see which game has been added. Currently we have thee MLB.TV Free Game of the Day through Wednesday.

Awful Announcing has compiled a list of all the possible announcers for each teams TV and radio broadcast. Why mess with perfection. If you wish to learn the possible announcers for each network, please visit the MLB TV Primer: Local Announcers provided by our friends at Awful Announcing.

I will post the television providers in the followiong format.
1) National Broadcast (ESPN, ESPN2, TBS, WGN America, FOX, MLB Network)- MLB Network alternate games will appear in yellow
2) Home Team Station Broadcast
3) Road Team Station Broadcast
4) National Radio Broadcast
5) National Spanish Broadcast

NCAA Men's D3 and D2 Championship broadcast information

For years the NCAA D2 Championship has taken place during the Saturday of Elite 8 matches. The D3 Championship has usually taken place even before that. This year the NCAA has decided to change that. The Sunday inbetween the Final 4 and the men's national championship is now the home of the NCAA D2 and NCAA D3 men's championships. Instead of being played on campus sites, both the championships will take place at Philips Arena (The home arena of the Hawks) in Atlanta, Georgia, right next door to where the Final 4 and the men's basketball championship are taking place.

As in years past, the NCAA D2 Championship will be broadcast no CBS. This year they get the bonus of the Dial Global NCAA Radio Network also picking up the broadcast. The D3 Championship meanwhile will be shown on CBS Sports Network. Here's all the information you'll need.

Sunday, April 7

4 PM- D2 Championship: Metro State vs. Drury (CBS) Tim Brando, Dan Bonner, Lewis Johnson
