You Weekend in Motorsports 11/22-24, 2013

With the Sprint Cup and Nationwide series having wrapped up, it's time for NBC to steal the glory. Formula 1's final event of the year will feature events on NBCSN and CNBC before culminating with the crowning of a champion live on NBC Sports. Here's your breakdown from NBC.

Race Coverage of Brazilian Grand Prix Begins Sunday at 11 a.m. ET on NBC

STAMFORD, Conn. – November 21, 2013 – Sebastian Vettel (Red Bull) aims to tie a Formula One™ record this week with his ninth consecutive victory, when NBC Sports Group’s 2013 F1 race coverage concludes with the Brazilian Grand Prix on Sunday at 11 a.m. ET on NBC. Coverage of the Brazilian Grand Prix will air across NBC, NBCSN and CNBC, beginning Friday with practice at 11 a.m. ET on NBCSN.
Vettel recorded his eighth straight victory this past weekend. at the United States Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas. A victory in Brazil would tie Alberto Ascari’s F1-record nine straight victories spanning the 1952-53 seasons. A win in Brazil would also give Vettel 13 victories this year, tying Michael Schumacher’s F1 record for most wins in one season.
Sunday’s Brazilian Grand Prix is the final race on the 2013 F1 schedule, and the fourth F1 race to air live on NBC this year. NBC Sports Group’s coverage of the Brazilian Grand Prix begins Friday at 11 a.m. ET with practice on NBCSN. CNBC will carry live coverage of qualifying on Saturday at 11 a.m. ET, leading into Sunday’s race coverage on NBC at 11 a.m. ET.
NBC Sports Live Extra — NBC Sports Group’s live streaming product for desktops, mobile devices, and tablets — will provide live comprehensive streaming coverage of the Brazilian Grand Prix, as well as practice and qualifying in the days preceding the race.
In addition to coverage of the Brazilian Grand Prix, NBC will present coverage of the Red Bull Hare Scramble on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. ET.

COMMENTATORS: Lead F1 announcer Leigh Diffey will call the Brazilian Grand Prix, and will be joined by veteran analyst and former racecar driver David Hobbs, and analyst and former race mechanic for the Benetton F1 team Steve Matchett. F1 insider Will Buxton will serve as the team’s on-site reporter from Interlagos in Sao Paolo, Brazil.
Todd Harris (play-by-play) and Tes Sewell (analyst) will provide live commentary of the Red Bull Hare Scramble in Erzberg, Austria.
