2015 FIFA Women's World Cup Week 4 TV & Commentator Schedule

We are into the final week, and we can expect Fox to break another record this Tuesday when #1 Germany and #2 USA butt heads for the right to move onto the championship match.

I believe the ratings for Wednesday will largely depend on what happens Tuesday. If the US defeats Germany, more people are likely to tune into Japan/England to see whom the US will face in the championship match. If the US loses, it's sad to say but the remainder of the Women's World Cup will probably be ignored in the US. Here's the schedule for the final week of the Women's World Cup. All times listed are EDT, and announcers are always subject to change.

Tuesday, June 30
7 PM- #1 Germany vs. #2 USA (FOXJP Dellacamera, Cat Whitehill, Tony DiCicco, Jenny Taft
(NBCUSammy Sadovnik, Manuel Sol
(Fox Soccer 2 Go) Kevin Keatings

7 PM- #4 Japan vs. #6 England (FS 1Jenn Hildreth, Kyndra de St. Aubin, Julie Stewart-Binks

(Fox Soccer 2 Go) Mark Tompkins

Saturday, July 4
4 PM- 3rd Place Match: #1 Germany vs. #6 England (FOXJustin Kutcher, Aly Wagner, Julie Stewart-Binks

(Fox Soccer 2 Go) Mark Tompkins

2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup Starts Up Next Week

CONCACAF Gold Cup 2015.svg

The Women's World Cup may be winding down, but that doesn't mean international soccer is fading away anytime soon. In fact the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup begins a mere few days after the Women's World Cup completes their 2015 competition.

The CONCACAF Gold Cup 2015 tournament will be broadcast in both English and Spanish on national MLS Providers in the US. For the English broadcasts you will be able to tune into Fox Sports 1 (USA & select others) or Fox Sports 2 to catch every match. For Spanish every match will be on Univision Deportes (UDN) with a simulcast available on either UniMas or Univision for most matches. There will be some UDN exclusives.

John Strong, Mark Rogondino, Steve Cangialosi, Glenn Davis, JP Dellacamera, and Keith Costigan will head-up the play-by-play assignments for Fox.

What analysts will Fox use? Alexi Lalas, Brad Friedel, and Cobi Jones will certainly see their fair share of action, but Brian Dunseth, Janusz Michallik (Mexico matches), Brian McBride, Stu Holden, and Warren Barton will also call matches at select times.

Julie Stewart-Binks will end up providing sideline coverage for Fox on USA matches.

As for the studio expect Rob Stone, Stuart Holden, and Eric Wynalda to be regulars through the tournament with Cobi Jones, Warren Barton, and Brad Friedel joining when they don't have matches.

For Spanish coverage expect every Univision/UniMas/UDN commentator to be used. That means Ramsés Sandoval, Jorge Pérez-Navarro, José Luis López Salido, Diego Balado, Jorge Calvo, Marcelo Balboa, Hristo Stoitchkov, Raúl Guzmán, Iván Kasanzew, and Xavi Sol will all likely be used. Don't expect a studio show for Univision.

Fox Sports Go will simulcast every FS1 & FS2 match while Fox Soccer 2 Go will simulcast the matches using the world feed. Here is the opening round television schedule as well as dates and times for the tournaments remaining matches. Announcers will be filled in as they are announced in a different post.
