The 2016 Varsity Cup Rugby competition begins first round action this weekend. BYU will try to claim their fourth consecutive rugby championship. Standing in their way is the always dangerous Cal rugby team.
This is the fourth year of the varsity Cup, and this is the first year 16 teams will compete. Since rugby isn't an NCAA sanctioned sport, then most of these games can only be seen online, if they can be seen at all. The championship will be on NBCSN, as has been the case the past two seasons. Here's your first round varsity Cup schedule.
Saturday, April 9
Noon- Penn State at Dartmouth (YouTube)
Noon- Notre Dame at Navy
1:30 PM- Clemson at Arkansas State
2 PM- Air Force at Utah (KUTE)
3 PM- Texas at Cal
$- 3 PM- Oklahoma at Army West Point (Knight Vision)
4 PM- UCLA at Central Washington (Stretch)
9 PM- BYU at Arizona State
