2013 MLB Week 14 TV and National Radio Schedule

I assume you know the drill by now. Play-by-play announcers will be added after each game, usually the next day, though sometimes complications may arise that will cause it to be later.

Watch out for the special MLB Network triple header celebrating Independence Day. With a game also airing on WGN America that day, you literally could spend nearly 12 hours on baseball.

Awful Announcing has compiled a list of all the possible announcers for each teams TV and radio broadcast. Why mess with perfection. If you wish to learn the possible announcers for each network before a game airs, please visit the MLB TV Primer: Local Announcers provided by our friends at Awful Announcing.

I will continue to add the announcers that broadcasted the TV broadcasts the day after they air. ESPN, MLB Network, FOX, and TBS announcers will still be listed before game time. Since I will be listing multiple announcers for each game, I am giving each station their own broadcast line. However only the MLB Network produced broadcasts will have their announcers listed.

Expect the MLS weekly broadcast list to go up on Monday.

Your 2013 CFL on NBC Sports Network schedule

Somehow I missed posting the 2013 CFL on NBC Sports Network schedule last week when it was announced. NBC Sports Network will air 17 CFL games during the 2013 season, an increase of 9 compared to last year. Their coverage includes both semifinal games and the Grey Cup. 5 of the games will be shown on a delayed basis. Here is the press release last week from the CFL announcing NBC's coverage this year.

CFL.ca Staff
TORONTO -- The Canadian Football League will be showcased this season on U.S. television with 14 regular-season games, the Eastern and Western Final, and the Grey Cup championship game on NBC Sports Network, the CFL announced today.
“We’re very pleased to partner again this year with NBC Sports Network to deliver our high-scoring and exciting brand of football to our fans south of the border,” said Michael Copeland, President and Chief Operating Officer of the Canadian Football League.

“It’s important for our league and has a significant impact on player recruitment, and gives fans an opportunity to follow some of their former favourite collegiate players.”

NBC Sports Network will kick off its CFL broadcast schedule with the opening game of the 2013 CFL season, featuring the Winnipeg Blue Bombers hosting the Montreal Alouettes in their brand new stadium, Investors Group Field. It will follow the league right up to Grey Cup Sunday, which will take place this year in Regina, Saskatchewan on Sunday, November 24.
“We are excited to be partnering again with the CFL, and to present its fast-paced and tradition-rich brand of football on NBC Sports Network,” said Mike Perman, Vice President, Programming, NBC Sports Group.

All CFL games are broadcast in Canada on TSN, with additional games available in French on RDS and RDS2.
“We’re looking forward to a very exciting season, and welcome our many American friends along for what will be a great ride,” Copeland said.

ESPN to carry 60 live CFL games, including 5 on ESPN2

The months of June and July aren't known much for their football prowess, but they will be this year. ESPN will broadcast 5 games live from the CFL on ESPN2 during the 2013 season. An additional 55 games will be streamed live on ESPN3. Essentially ESPN will have every game that NBC Sports Network doesn't show, including 2 playoff games. There is some research being done on whether or not NBC Sports Extra will also show CFL games this season. The full schedule of games can be found at ESPN Media Zone. Here is the press release announcing the schedule.

ESPN to Deliver 60 Live Canadian Football League Games

ESPN will carry 60 live Canadian Football League games throughout the 2013 season, beginning Friday, June 28, with a doubleheader on ESPN3: Hamilton Tiger-Cats vs. Toronto Argonauts (7 p.m. ET) and BC Lions vs. Calgary Stampeders (10 p.m.). In all, ESPN will televise five games on ESPN2 and an additional 55 – including two playoff games – on ESPN3.
ESPN’s relationship with the CFL dates back to the company’s first full year on the air, having televised Canadian Football League games throughout the 1980’s (1980-84 and 1986-89) and 1990’s (1994-1997).
CFL games have also been carried on ESPN3, the company’s live multi-screen network, since 2008. ESPN3 is accessible in more than 85 million households nationwide for fans who receive their internet or video subscriptions from an affiliated provider.
All games will be available on computers at WatchESPN.com, on tablets and smartphones via the WatchESPN app, through ESPN on Xbox LIVE to Gold members and on Apple TV.
ESPN will use commentators from TSN, the leading sports channel in Canada and CFL rightsholder, throughout the CFL season, which concludes in November.
