Motor Sports on ESPN TV Schedule May 20-26

With the Nationwide Series and the Indianapolis 500, the Networks of ESPN will be one of the top places for racing fans this weekend. To get everyone ready, ESPN has once again outlined all their racing this week. Here's the information.

Motorsports This Week on ESPN and ABC

ABC Airing Indianapolis 500 for 49th Consecutive Year
One of the longest-running relationships between a sporting event and a television network continues Sunday, May 26, as ABC airs the Indianapolis 500 for the 49th consecutive year. The race telecast is presented by Go Daddy and begins at noon ET, with the race’s green flag at 12:15 p.m. The pre-race program begins at 11 a.m. Race fans also will have a second screen option on ESPN3 with views from multiple onboard cameras on cars competing in the race.

NASCAR Nationwide Series at Charlotte on ABC
The NASCAR Nationwide Series competes at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Saturday, May 25, and the series will appear on ABC for the first time this season. The History 300 telecast begins with NASCAR Countdown at 2:30 p.m. ET with the race’s green flag at 3:02 p.m. Also from Charlotte, ESPN2 will televise qualifying earlier that day at 11 a.m.

NASCAR Now Schedule
ESPN2’s daily NASCAR news and information program NASCAR Now will preview the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Coca Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway in the one-hour edition airing Sunday, May 26, at 10 a.m. ET. Host Chris Cotter will be joined in the studio by ESPN NASCAR analyst Ricky Craven and reporters Marty Smith and Ryan McGee at the track. The week’s schedule:

NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing on ESPN2 Sunday
The NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series has the weekend off but drag racing fans can watch action featuring the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series on Sunday, May 26, at 11 a.m. ET on ESPN2. The one-hour program will feature highlights from the recent event for the series in Topeka, Kan.

Motorsports on Other ESPN Platforms
ESPN.com — RacingLive! on ESPN.com is a live blog where fans can engage in debate and discussion with ESPN.com writers and editors during the NASCAR Sprint Cup races. On Sunday night, May 26, RacingLive! Charlotte will coincide with the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Fans can join ESPN.com’s NASCAR experts in dissecting every aspect of the race live at http://espn.go.com/racing/nascar/. ESPN.com motorsports reporter David Newton will be reporting from Charlotte.

ESPN Radio — Each weekend morning, ESPN Radio’s RaceDay starts its engines at 6 a.m. ET with host Pat Patterson anchored from the site of that weekend’s NASCAR Sprint Cup race. On both Saturday and Sunday mornings, ESPN Radio’s RaceDay listeners get an hour of news, previews and analysis, as well as profiles and interviews with NASCAR’s biggest names and newsmakers and the involvement of listeners via calls and e-mails. RaceDay also features interviews with newsmakers from the IZOD IndyCar Series from correspondent Bruce Martin.
