2013 NFL Pre-Season Week 1 TV Schedule

The NFL is back, and it is evident that it doesn't matter that pre-season games are on the air as the NFL's Hall of Fame game outdrew the Stanley Cup Playoffs on NBC in terms of viewers and ratings. The Hall of Fame game was the first of 10 pre-season games that will have National Radio coverage. 8 of those games are the Cowboys and Raiders thanks to their contract with Compass Media. The other two- the Hall of Fame Game (Dial Global) and the Giants/ Jets game (ESPN Radio).

Once again NFL Network will air every pre-season game. However most of the games won't be live. This week 6 games will be aired live. Those 6 games:

Thursday, August 8
8 PM- Cincinnati Bengals at Atlanta Falcons (ESPN) Mike Tirico, Jon Gruden, Lisa Salters

11 PM- Seattle Seahawks at San Diego Chargers- JIP (NFL)  Dan Fouts, Billy Ray Smith

Outside of the Bengals/ Falcons pre-season game, all the remaining pre-season games will be aired on local TV affiliates. If it remains like they have done for the past 3 years, NFL Network will use the home teams broadcast for each game. I have italicized the NFL.com Press Release to help distinguish it.
