Longhorn Network adds Kansas at Texas, Wyoming at Texas State to 2013 broadcast schedule

In news that was first reported more than a month ago by Matt Sarz of mattsarzsports, Kansas at Wyoming will be produced and broadcast nationwide by Longhorn Network, except in the state of Kansas. In the state of Kansas the game will be shown via Jayhawks TV Network affiliates, including the newest member, Metro Sports.

Additionally Matt Sarz has pointed out a little line hidden in the Sun Belt TV Network announcement. The Sun Belt Conference has authorized Longhorn Network as an ESPN Network and will let LHN carry Sun Belt games exclusively. the first of these games announced is this years Wyoming at Texas State game. It remains to be seen if Wyoming will get the same sort of courtesy Ole Miss and Kansas have been granted, but if last years Wyoming at Texas game was any indication, I wouldn't be holding my breath Cowboy fans.

Anyway, here is today's Kansas at Texas announcement from ESPN Media Zone.

Longhorn Network to Air Kansas vs. Texas Football Matchup Nov. 2

Big 12 Conference Game is LHN’s Third Exclusive National Telecast of the 2013 Football Season
Longhorn Network is set to air the matchup between the Texas Longhorns and Kansas Jayhawks on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013 at 2:30 PM CT. The game will be televised live in HD from Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium and will be the third telecast of a UT football game on LHN during the 2013 season. Previously announced telecasts of Texas home contests for the network include New Mexico State on Saturday, Aug. 31 and Ole Miss on Saturday, Sept. 14.
LHN is the exclusive national distributor of the game, except within the state of Kansas and the Kansas City DMA, where the game also will be aired live via the Jayhawk Television Network.
Since the teams’ initial meeting in 1901, the Longhorns hold a 10-2 lifetime record against the Jayhawks. Texas came away victorious at the pair’s most recent contest in 2012 with a final score of 21-17.
LHN’s Texas GameDay will be live from inside DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium for two hours prior to kickoff with analysis and one-on-one interviews by LHN’s Lowell Galindo and Ahmad Brooks. Kaylee Hartung will report from the sidelines. An hour of post-game analysis will follow the game with Texas GameDay Final.
