Motor Sports TV Schedule for ESPN Networks May 13-19

There may not be a Nationwide Series Race this week, but ESPN still has plenty of NHRA action ready to fly your way. An additional surprise comes in that SportsCenter will carry the Indianapolis 500 time trials this weekend. Since your TV listings will just note it as SportsCenter, you'll want to note the dates and times if you're an Indianapolis 500 fan. Below is the Press Release from the Worldwide Leader.
 

Motorsports This Week on ESPN

NHRA Topeka Action on ESPN2, ESPN3 

The NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series will be in action this weekend in the Lucas Oil NHRA Kansas Nationals at Heartland Park Topeka and drag racing fans can watch qualifying and eliminations on ESPN2 and ESPN3. All NHRA programming on ESPN networks is also available on computers, smartphones and tablets through WatchESPN and the WatchESPN app. The schedule:

NASCAR Now Schedule
ESPN2’s daily NASCAR news and information program NASCAR Now will preview the NASCAR Sprint Cup All-Star Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway in the one-hour edition airing Saturday, May 18, at 9 a.m. ET. Studio host Mike Massaro will be joined from the track by ESPN NASCAR analyst Ricky Craven and reporters Shannon Spake and Jim Noble at the track. NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver Darrell Wallace Jr. will be a guest on the program airing Thursday, May 16, at 1:30 a.m. (late Wednesday night). The week’s schedule:

SportsCenter at Indy 500 Time Trials — ESPN’s flagship news and information program SportsCenter will cover Indianapolis 500 time trials Saturday and Sunday, May 18-19, at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The 97th running of the “Greatest Spectacle in Racing” will be televised live on ABC on Sunday, May 26. SportsCenter anchor Lindsay Czarniak, who will host the ABC telecast of the race, will report from time trials weekend along with ESPN IndyCar analyst Eddie Cheever.

ESPN.com — RacingLive! on ESPN.com is a live blog where fans can engage in debate and discussion with ESPN.com writers and editors during the NASCAR Sprint Cup races. On Saturday night, May 18, RacingLive! Sprint All-Star will coincide with the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series All-Star Race race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Fans can join ESPN.com’s NASCAR experts in dissecting every aspect of the race live at http://espn.go.com/racing/nascar/. ESPN.com motorsports reporter David Newton will be reporting from Charlotte.

In addition, ESPN.com will have reports from Indianapolis Motor Speedway where qualifying will be underway Saturday and Sunday, May 18-19, for the 97th Indianapolis 500 on Sunday, May 26. ESPN.com motorsports writer John Oreovicz is reporting from the Brickyard during the entire Month of May.  

ESPN Radio — Each weekend morning, ESPN Radio’s RaceDay starts its engines at 6 a.m. ET with host Pat Patterson anchored from the site of that weekend’s NASCAR Sprint Cup race. On both Saturday and Sunday mornings, ESPN Radio’s RaceDay listeners get an hour of news, previews and analysis, as well as profiles and interviews with NASCAR’s biggest names and newsmakers and the involvement of listeners via calls and e-mails. RaceDay also features interviews with newsmakers from the IZOD IndyCar Series from correspondent Bruce Martin. Saturday includes a preview of Pole Day for the 97th Indianapolis 500 along with interviews with last year’s pole winner Ryan Briscoe and another top driver from Fast Friday. Sunday’s program will include an exclusive interview with the pole winner.
