Nationwide, IndyCar, & NHRA highlight May 27- June 2 Motor Sports on ESPN Networks

Sorry for the lack of updates this weekend, but with a major rush at work last Thursday and friday getting ready for the holiday weekend, and with a weekend where I just wanted to relax and watch some newer movies, there wasn't a whole lot of extra time for updates. Anyway, there's one new press release to report today.

Motorsports This Week on ESPN and ABC

NASCAR Nationwide Series at Dover on ESPN

The NASCAR Nationwide Series competes at Dover (Del.) International Speedway on Saturday, June 1, and ESPN will have a live telecast of the 200-mile race. NASCAR Countdown airs at 2 p.m. ET with the race’s green flag at 2:46 p.m. The race telecast is presented by Grid 2. Also from Dover, ESPN2 will televise qualifying earlier that day at 11 a.m. All NASCAR programming on ESPN networks is also available on computers, smartphones and tablets through WatchESPN and the WatchESPN app

IndyCar Series Races Saturday, Sunday in Detroit
One week after a thrilling Indianapolis 500, the IZOD IndyCar Series will compete on the street circuit at Detroit’s Belle Isle in a weekend doubleheader with races on both Saturday and Sunday, June 1-2. Both races will air on ABC, with the telecasts on both days starting at 3:30 p.m. ET. Green flags for both races in the Indy Duel in Detroit will be at 3:50 p.m.

NHRA Englishtown Action on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3 
The NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series will be in action this weekend in the Toyota NHRA Summer Nationals at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park in Englishtown, N.J. Drag racing fans can watch qualifying and eliminations, with programming on ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPN3. All NHRA programming on ESPN networks is also available on computers, smartphones and tablets through WatchESPN and the WatchESPN app. The schedule:

NASCAR Now Schedule
ESPN2’s daily NASCAR news and information program NASCAR Now will preview the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Dover International Speedway in the one-hour edition airing Sunday, June 2, at 9 a.m. ET. Studio host Todd Grisham will be joined from the track by ESPN NASCAR analyst Brad Daugherty and reporters Jim Noble and Ryan McGee. All NASCAR programming on ESPN networks is also available on computers, smartphones and tablets through WatchESPN and the WatchESPN app. The week’s schedule:

ESPN.com — RacingLive! on ESPN.com is a live blog where fans can engage in debate and discussion with ESPN.com writers and editors during the NASCAR Sprint Cup races. On Sunday, June 2, RacingLive! Dover will coincide with the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Dover International Speedway. ESPN Radio — Each weekend morning, ESPN Radio’s RaceDay starts its engines at 6 a.m. ET with host Pat Patterson anchored from the site of that weekend’s NASCAR Sprint Cup race. On both Saturday and Sunday mornings, ESPN Radio’s RaceDay listeners get an hour of news, previews and analysis, as well as profiles and interviews with NASCAR’s biggest names and newsmakers and the involvement of listeners via calls and e-mails. RaceDay also features interviews with newsmakers from the IZOD IndyCar Series from correspondent Bruce Martin and both programs this weekend will include interviews, analysis and news from the event in Detroit.
