6.5 Hours of Soccer this week on NBC Sports Network

The US Women's National team returns to NBC Sports Network this week for a game against South Korea. Additional coverage comes in the form of 2 episodes of MLS 36, MLS Insider, and the Portland/ Colorado MLS match-up. Below is the press release from NBC.

STAMFORD, Conn. – June 19, 2013 – NBC Sports Network presents 6.5 hours of soccer coverage this week highlighted by the U.S. Women’s National Team versus South Korea tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. ET, plus the premier of the new, weekly show MLS Insider on Friday at 7:30 p.m. ET. In addition, NBC Sports Network will air two episodes of MLS 36 this week – the first featuring Houston Dynamo marksman Brad Davis on Thursday at 10 p.m. ET followed by Sporting Kansas City defensive duo Matt Besler and AurĂ©lien Collin on Sunday, June 23, at 9:30 p.m. ET.

Olympic gold medalists Alex MorganAbby Wambach and Hope Solo take the field tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. ET, as the U.S. Women’s National Team faces South Korea. Play-by-play announcer Arlo White, analyst Russ Thaler and reporter Kate Markgraf (‘Between-the-Benches’) will call the action from Red Bull Arena, Harrison, N.J.

Following the U.S. Women’s National Team game on Thursday, MLS 36 takes an in-depth look at the Houston Dynamo’s Brad Davis at 10 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network.
Soccer coverage continues on Friday, June 21, at 7:30 p.m. ET with the premier episode of MLS Insider, featuring New York Red Bulls midfielder Tim Cahill, LA Galaxy midfielder Robbie Rogersand Philadelphia Union’s Sons of Ben supporters group. Produced by Hock Films, which is led by Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Jonathan HockMLS Insider includes in-depth features and stories from behind-the scenes and is an initiative of MLS+, a new content and distribution group that aims to create a broad range of soccer programming on multiple platforms.
On Sunday at 7 p.m. ET, MLS coverage on NBC Sports Network features a Western Conference match up with the Portland Timbers (6-1-8, 26 pts.) hosting the Colorado Rapids (5-5-5, 20 pts.). NBC Sports Group’s MLS team of play-by-play announcer Arlo WhiteKyle Martino and Russ Thaler will call the action from Jeld-Wen Field in Portland, Ore. Following the match, NBC Sports Network will air MLS 36 featuring Sporting Kansas City’s Matt Besler and AurĂ©lien Collin.
