All 52 matches of FIFA U-20 World Cup to be shown on ESPN Networks

Soccer fans have something new to celebrate. All 52 matches of the FIFA U-20 World Cup will be available to watch, mostly on ESPN3 until the quarterfinals. However every USA and Mexico game will be on ESPN, ESPN2, or ESPNU, and a few select other games will be on ESPNU. All USA and Mexico games also have the announcing assignments included. All 4 quarterfinal games, the 2 semifinal games, and the 3rd place game will be live on ESPNU while the championship will be live on ESPN. Below is the press release announcing the details.

ESPN Networks to Present all 52 Matches of 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup from Turkey, June 21 – July 13


The ESPN networks will present all 52 matches of the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup from Turkey — June 21 – July 13 – with 21 games on ESPNU including the quarterfinals and semifinals, and the final live from Istanbul on ESPN. All games will also be available live and on replay on computers, smartphones and tablets via WatchESPN. The tournament will kick off Friday, June 21, with two matches beginning at 10:45 a.m. ET on ESPN3, and the U.S. National team will begin its campaign on ESPN and WatchESPN at 1:45 p.m. against perennial power Spain.
The 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup will feature the next crop of international stars from 24 countries, including defending champion Brazil, as well as Mexico and the United States.  The U.S. team, coached by former U.S. Men’s National team star Tab Ramos, will make its seventh consecutive appearance in the tournament and is helmed by defender Caleb Stanko, who co-captained the team during the 2013 CONCACAF U-20 Championship. Previous U.S. teams have fielded current USMNT stalwarts Michael Bradley and Jozy Altidore.
ESPN play-by-play commentators Adrian Healey and Max Bretos and analysts Taylor Twellmanand Monica Gonzalez will be calling the action from all U.S. and Mexico matches. The networks will utilize the English-language world feed and commentators provided by FIFA for the remaining games. ESPN’s multiplatform coverage of the event will include ESPNFC blog posts from Jeff Carlisle, who will be covering the U.S. team throughout the tournament alongside Doug McIntyre.
